Rémi Durupt
Rémi Durupt was born at Nancy in 1983.
A graduate of Strasbourg (class of Emmanuel Séjourné), he comes in percussion class at the High School of Music in Geneva (Class of Yves Brustaux, William Blank, Jean Geoffroy and Claude Gastaldin) and has a Concert Diploma in 2008. Recently, Remi joined the Master courses in chamber music at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris with Jens MacManama as teacher with his duo piano / percussion Duo LINKS.
To enrich his musical sensibility, he attended the optional courses in orchestral conducting in the class of Laurent Gay at Geneva and received his certificate in orchestration (class of Nicolas Bacri). Now, he participates in generative improvisation's class with Vincent Le Quan and Alexandros Markeas.
He collaborates with various groups such symphony orchestras (Nancy, Strasbourg, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande), contemporary ensembles (International Center of Percussion of Geneva, Le Passeur gris, Densité 93 ...), and played in various festivals and associations of Contemporary Music (Musica, Archipel, Le Cabaret Contemporain).
He desires to meet and work with today's composers and takes part in the creation of solo and chamber music (P. Jodlowsky, V. Cordero, O. Calmel, A. Corrales, L. Durupt, J. Tejera, F. Bedrossian ...).
Remi is also passionate about teaching percussion. He holds a Diploma of Education in Switzerland, and the French State diploma of professor of percussion and teaches at the Conservatoire Gabriel Fauré des Lilas.
Winner of several international solo or chamber music ("Jeunesses Musicales de Suisse", "FNAPEC" Paris, "Claude Giot" Clermont-Ferrand, "Contemporary Chamber Music" from Krakow), he won the International Competition Music in Geneva in 2009 with a second prize.
